I am the Diva´s challenge no. 352

Last week I didn´t go for the Diva´s challenge. The reason was I wanted to practice SKYE. Another reason is I wasn´t that interested in the Olympic theme, it didn´t speak to me.  This week´s challenge, no 352, is about hearts and I thought I was done with hearts this month! But then I visited Michele Wynne´s blog  and couldn´t resist to give the heart one more round! I opened up my treasure-box filled with eco-dyed papers and there it was!

Can you see the heart glowing in there? I did and here is my nested heart:

The tangles: Chainging, Tipple, `NZeppel and Dro´t/Wire (Ferenc Nagy). The size is different from what I use to work on, 9x17,7cm.I used some brown colorpens, bronze and white gellypen. It was a nice surface to tangle on and I love the eco-dyed colors a lot.

Some Daily tangles and the Diva´s challenge

Eye-Wa (Zt) and Zedbra (Margaret Bremner/Laura Harms) works well as Drama-tangles for the prompt in "Today´s Tangles". Actually this was my first round with Eye-Wa! But it won´t be my last, since this tangle was so fun and easy to do!

Another one for the prompt: Echoism (Zt) as a string and a favourite of mine; Cubine.

And now for I am the Diva´s challenge 344:

Afterglo (Carole Ohl), Ipso (Jennifer Hohensteiner) and `NZeppel. I did this on an Echo-diyed tile. Afterglo is one of those patterns I did love from the start and used quite a lot for some time but then I almost forgot it.

Calendar 22nd-24th of October and some other things going on.

First about my calendar. As I have been visiting lovely Östhammar and "Ordfestivalen", my time for the calendar wasn´t to much. Returning to it trying to catch up I felt a little bit bored for the first time. Why? Thinking about this I realized that it has to do with routine. To keep up the calendar I think I need the routine; each morning spend some time doing my "day". As I couldn´t do this for a couple of days I lost the motivation a little. But I am back. Yesterday I made the three last days and decided to make it very simple, just doing Dingbatz:

As I had done my three Dingbatz (doesn´t take long to do) I felt like Meer needed to go on a little bit more. I felt like this was ok and yes I could find a satisfaction to make this again. So todays calendarpage I was back into my morning-preparation for the day!

This blog is not supposed to be about journaling. But I have always liked the thing with journaling. Now I have taken my first steps on the journaling-road and it is great fun. So I want to share my first experiences with you!

The upper pic, I glued my inspiration (Papertissue!) on the left page. On the below pic you can see my #inktober - #pinktober stuff. The colored paper glued here is made by a friend of mine who makes a lot of Eco-prints!

To the last goodie for today! I finished a travelling tangle from my friend Sue Zanker yesterday. The surface of this tile is made with the shaving-foame technique and now I learned how it should be! The surface was so smooth and gentle to work on! I think I want to try this technique further on because of her lovely result. But I have to get me some odourless shaving foam instead of the one I got from the grocery last try. That one smelled terribly and I couldn´t stand it!  Here is our collaboration:

This is Sue´s lovely start!

And here is my final result. I really enjoyed this! Sue had started with a tangle called Wibble and I went on with C-rependity (Veena Arun), Ginili (Randi Wynne-Perry) and some Fescues. As I tangled on I wanted to get the Wibble more in focus so I added Gold and some watercolor. I loved to do this! Thank´s Sue for the experience!

Cozy tangling for the Diva´s challenge

The last guestblogger for the season at the Diva´s challenge are Juliette Fiessinger and Kellie Fellinge. Read about the challenge here. I am not sure I have got this right. We are supposed to use cozy tangles for the change of season. I listened to their podcast and decided to use one of my ECO-print tiles.

I am surprised myself how many tangles that appeared in this tile. It was meditative though. As a string I used the print underneath. Another surprise was that there actually came out a heartshape! No it wasn´t planned. Not the tangles either. I just tried to stay in that feeling I got from the podcast. The tangles are: Featherfall (Carole Ohl),Tipple, Ennies, Static, Diva Dance, Evoke and Hollibaugh. Except Featherfall, all are zentangles.

The Diva is back! Challenge no 332!

Laura Harms is back after what seem like a wonderful and fun vacation. She starts of with a fun challenge: 2 Squares. That´s it. I have tried to make som Eco-printed tiles the last weeks. Som of them were printed on both sides and that wasn´t optimal, since I have to choose which side of the tile I prefer! I had made a mess on one of them and put it aside not knowing what to do about it. So I turned it and let the print guide were to draw the squares. It was fun!

This time I regret I didn´t take a before-pic! But I was too eager to get started so I forgot all about it. Yes, I did try some tranzending too, which worked out this way. I am happy about the process in this tile, since the planning was none and the guidance was the surface with marks from leaves, and some other stuff. The patterns; Mooka, Nipa, Indyrella, O (Adele Bruno) and Fragment D11.

Petoskey stones

Jane Reiter is guestblogger for the Diva this week.  Her challenge is different from others. I have never heard of Petoskey Stones before. It is such a beautiful thing she tells us about! Go to the blog and have a look here!  Here are som pics  (closeups) of the Petoskey Stones:

As you can see the patterns are pentagones and hexagones.

Jane asked us to make a tile inspired by the Petoskey Stones. First I made a little Bijou:

I choose to work with the pentagone, since I never use to do that! I havent used ecoprinted tiles before either! The pattern is Quabog (Zt). The next one is on a regular tile 8,9x8,9 cm:

This one is also on ecoprint paper (Fabriano Tiepolo). I went on with Quabog, I did like this easy and flexible pattern, which I have tried once or twice. The other patterns are Zinger, Tripoli and Tipple, all Zt. This challenge was different and so interesting to do! I think I won´t forget about Petoskey Stones. Ever. Thank´s to Jane Reiter!
