Tripoli

The Diva´s challenge #284 is all about Tripoli. Tripoli as a monotangle. When I first learned Tripoli I liked it a lot and I used it quite often during that period. This is a highfocus-tangle. I love to do it sometimes. I can also be very frustrated doing it. There are a lots of possibilities doing some oops(!) here and there! Doing that in a monotangle can be distressing! I made two tiles. The first one I used string 161 (Joan Lilley).

I tried to keep it simple. But I am not sure I did. The second tile I used one of those shavingfoam-tiles and the result was totally different!

To use the color as a string did fit Tripoli very well! I loved to do this and I think it can be seen!

Two beautiful tiles, but my favorite is definitely the second one, I love the colors, the composition and the way you have drawn Tripoli!

Oh my! What gorgeous tiles Anita;-) I love them both. That second tile is amazing;-) The shapes are so interesting to look at and of course the colors of the tile still shine through. Well done!

Both are beautiful and so different. I really love the second one too, you've balanced maintaining the integrity of the colour background with featuring your tangle so well. It's a 10/10 for me.

Both are lovely, but the second one is fantastic. I find it hard to draw on a foam colored tile, because the (Sakura) pen doesn't like drawing on it ans just stops all the time

The second tile is my favourite. I like how my eyes are drawn to the lines made by edges of each Tripoli - like Fife perhaps? And colours draw my eyes in even further.

Thank´s for your comments! I always appreciate them! To Anne: My sakura pen did the work as usual!. I didn´t use original tiles though. Maybe it is the paper? I was quite careful to get rid of the foam with a paletteknife...

Lovely tiles! I especially like the one on the shaving cream tile. The floral shapes and the added Tipple just compliment each other.
